Homeowners often start out the process of selling their home by thinking money is everything. But before the deal has closed, they often come around to realize that some things are more important than cash Ð like timing.
With such a strong and long seller's market, homeowners are having no trouble selling their homes in the blink of an eye. But then most of them turn into home buyers and realize that there's no place to move.
That's an opening for a flexible home buyer. If you can give the seller the closing date he or she wants, you may end up with a stronger off than someone who has a firm closing date in mind, but offers more money.
Be sensitive to the seller's true needs and motivations and you may end up with the winning offer.
